Babes in Arms

The Brockville Arts Centre has a NO BABES IN ARMS POLICY for REGULAR performances.

The theatre does allow BABES IN ARMS for CHILDRENS & FAMILY shows only. BABES IN ARMS is defined as children up to 6 months old. BABES IN ARMS will be issued a complimentary ticket. Children older than 6 months will be required to purchase a ticket.

ALL persons regardless of age must have a ticket to enter the auditorium. The Ontario Fire Code regulations state that everyone attending a performance must have an admission ticket and an assigned seat. The Ontario Fire Code states that a child sitting on someone’s lap is not considered to be in an assigned seat. This measure is taken to ensure the approved seating capacity of the auditorium is not exceeded and for the safety of all guests.

Children unable to sit quietly throughout a performance may, along with the accompanying adult, be asked to leave the auditorium.

I took my daughter to see Bohemian Rhapsody this afternoon and we ended up having to leave before the movie began. Someone came in, wearing strong perfume and my daughter took a reaction to it, unable to breathe. We first switched seats, trying to sit on the opposite side of the auditorium, but the scent filled the entire room. We were disappointed to miss the movie. Any chance of creating a scent free environment so that everyone could enjoy these events? ... See MoreSee Less
