About Linda Ronstadt: Linda made history as the most successful female singer of the 1970s with record sales of over 100 million. She was the first female artist to accumulate 5 consecutive platinum albums and earned 14 certified platinum albums to date. She’s been nominated for 27 Grammy Awards, has won 12, in addition to being awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Linda was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received the National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama, and was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors.

Linda Ronstadt is credited for helping form the legendary band… “The Eagles.” With Glenn Frey and Don Henley as part of Linda’s backing musicians—when they told her their plans to form their own group she encouraged them and recommended Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner to round out their group. Ronstadt said she knew from the start that the Eagles were destined for great things. The two musical acts performed alongside each other for years and remained close to this date.

Sadly, in 2011 Linda was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Her condition was later re-diagnosed as an even more severe Parkinsonism called progressive supranuclear palsy- an incurable degenerative disease which made her singing career come to a harsh and abrupt end. o those who love her—Linda’s voice will always ring loud and clear in our minds and hearts.
