Shipyard Kitchen Party & Brockville Arts Centre:
KITCHEN PARTY CHRISTMAS
Join Shipyard Kitchen Party (creators of the musicals, Tom Thomson’s Wake and 100 Years from Now) and special guests Emily Power, Jason Redman, and more for an evening of holiday folk music, storytelling and comedy. Grab the ugly stick, tune up the guitars and mandolins, and get ready to kick off the yuletide with laughter, song, and a little East Coast flare!
About Shipyard Kitchen Party:
With roots in Scotland, Newfoundland and Georgian Bay, Shipyard Kitchen Party blends traditional instrumentation with humour, artistry and history to tell Canadian stories, their stories and even YOUR stories in fresh, exciting ways. They’re Great Big Sea having a dram too many with Stan Rogers. They’re Gordon Lightfoot crossed with “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” They’ll make you stomp your feet and they might even make you cry.
But, no matter what, they WILL have a good time with you.
Shipyard Kitchen Party features John Eaton (Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Vocals), Sacha Law (Bass, Vocals) and Jason Murphy (Bodhran, Bouzouki, Vocals).
